Privacy policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
Games for Tots makes learning games for young children, and we take privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: accounts belong to parents, we don't ask children for personal information, we don't show ads, and we never sell data.
1. Who we are
Games for Tots is operated by Games for Tots LLC (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at privacy@gamesfortots.com or by mail at 123 Example Street, Suite 100, Anytown, ST 00000, USA.
2. Information we collect
From parents and guardians
- Account details: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored only in a securely hashed form. If you sign in with another account (such as Google, Facebook, X, or LinkedIn), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture link from that service.
- Membership details: your plan, its dates, and the billing name, country, and postal code you enter at checkout. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
Child profiles
Parents can add a profile for each child who plays, with a name or nickname and an animal avatar. A first name or nickname is all we need; please don't enter a full name.
From play
When a child plays, we save their game activity to their profile: which words they finished, the level, how long each word took, each wrong key pressed (and the letter that was wanted), stars earned, and when and for how long they played. We use this only to show you their progress, point out letters to practice, and choose fresh words. We don't ask children for any information, and we don't collect photos, voice, location, or contact details from them.
Automatically
To keep accounts secure, we record the IP address and browser type used for each signed-in session. Our servers also keep standard technical logs for a limited time. We also count how many times the free demo is started and how many demo words are finished each day. These are plain daily totals with nothing that identifies anyone.
3. Children's privacy
Our games are made for young children, but accounts are for adults. Only parents and guardians aged 18 or older may create an account, and children play under that account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and children cannot chat, message, share content, or make anything public.
As a parent, you can review each child's game activity on the My account page, clear it at any time, remove a child's profile, or delete your account entirely. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at privacy@gamesfortots.com and we will delete it.
4. How we use information
- To create and run your account and membership
- To save game progress and show it to you
- To answer your questions and send important account emails, such as password resets and receipts
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. The games also remember small preferences in your browser, such as whether sound is on and which level was last chosen. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only with companies that help us run the service, and only as much as they need:
- Our hosting provider, which stores our website and database
- Our payment processor, which handles card payments
- Our email provider, which delivers account emails
- Sign-in providers you choose to use, such as Google, Facebook, X, or LinkedIn
We may also share information if required by law, to protect the safety of our users, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
7. How long we keep information
We keep account information, child profiles, and game activity for as long as your account is open. Removing a child's profile deletes their game activity right away. When you delete your account, we delete your account details, child profiles, membership history, and game activity from our live systems right away; copies in backups are removed within 30 days. We may keep basic payment records for as long as tax laws require. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months.
8. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and limited access to our systems. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Your choices and rights
You can see and update your information on the My account page, clear game progress, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as asking for a copy of your data or asking us to correct it. To make a request, email privacy@gamesfortots.com. We will respond within the time the law requires.
10. International visitors
Our servers may be located outside your country. By using Games for Tots, you understand that your information may be processed there, with the protections described in this policy.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and let members know by email before the changes take effect.
